What can you do in Lomma on a rainy day?

A rainy day in Lomma and Bjärred: plans that don't depend on the weather

Short answer

Check the programme at Lomma Folkets Hus for stand-up, music and family shows; book an indoor court at LBTK's tennis hall or Bjärred Padel; settle into a café such as Konditori Syrénen or Borgeby Stenugnsbageri; or warm up in the sauna at the end of Långa Bryggan. The Alnarp museums tell the story of farming in Skåne but open on limited days, so check first. Lund and Malmö are within reach by public transport.

Editorial answer: our opinion, based on the sources listed below. No venue has paid to appear.

Stage and culture

Lomma Folkets Hus is the town's community stage. See what's on in its programme during your stay; our events page adds only confirmed dates.

Indoor courts

Both LBTK's tennis hall and Bjärred Padel take bookings through MATCHi, which makes a wet afternoon an easy hour of sport.

Cafés and long lunches

Konditori Syrénen in Lomma and Borgeby Stenugnsbageri are classic fika stops. For a longer meal indoors, Restaurang Charm and Bjerreds Station in Bjärred, or Lomma Krogen in Lomma, are good bets.

Sauna and sea

Rain matters less in a sauna. The bath house at the end of Långa Bryggan combines sauna and sea bathing; its terms are on its own website.

Museums, near and further

The Alnarp museums, including an agricultural museum and a farriery museum, open on limited days, so check the municipality's museum page. For a full museum day, head into Lund or Malmö; see Plan your visit for trains and buses.
