Short answer
Garden Concerts is a summer concert series in the garden of Bjerreds Station, the restaurant in Bjärred's old railway station. Each summer since 2022 it has brought some of Sweden's best-known artists to an outdoor stage among the trees — Titiyo, Lisa Nilsson, Orup and Eagle-Eye Cherry among them — in late July and early August. Evenings start in the late afternoon, with music from around 19:00. In our view it is the best summer evening out in the area.

What it is
Bjerreds Station opened as a restaurant in the yellow station building in 2021, and the following summer it began opening its garden for concerts. The garden, the station house and a large tent over the food and drink area become one concert area, with a stage among the trees, bars and food trucks. In 2026, the fifth season, it ran for twelve evenings in a row, from 22 July to 2 August, and the venue reported more than 11,000 concert-goers the summer before.

Who plays
Mostly well-loved Swedish pop, rock and soul artists, with a few international names. In 2024 the stage hosted Timbuktu, Lisa Nilsson, Måns Zelmerlöw and Titiyo; in 2025 Bo Kaspers Orkester, Popsicle, Amanda Jenssen and Eric Gadd & Blacknuss. The 2026 programme included Titiyo, Young Gun Silver Fox, Orup, Niklas Strömstedt, Danny Saucedo, Lisa Nilsson, Sven-Ingvars, Eric Gadd & Blacknuss, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Uno Svenningsson, and Tommy Nilsson with Miller Campbell.
The line-up is new every year and is announced by the venue, often in the winter before.
When, and how an evening works
In recent summers the concerts have fallen in late July and early August. In 2026 the gates opened at 17:00 (16:00 with a restaurant booking), the artists went on stage at 19:00 or 19:30 depending on the ticket, the stage area closed at 23:00 and the restaurant at midnight. Food came from food trucks such as Holy Smoke and a wood-fired pizza oven, and from the restaurant for those who booked a table with their concert ticket; you could not bring your own food or drink. The age limit was 18, with younger visitors welcome in the company of a parent or guardian, and the restaurant is cashless.
These details are from the 2026 season; check the venue's own page for the current year.
Why it's so special
This is our opinion, not a ranking: few places let you hear artists of this size so close up, in a garden under old trees, a short walk from the sea. You arrive in daylight, eat and talk while the garden fills, and the music starts as the evening light turns golden over the Öresund. After the encore you can walk down to Långa Bryggan in the summer night. It feels less like a festival and more like the whole village's garden party.

Plan your concert evening
Make a day of it. Spend the afternoon on Bjärred's beach or walk out on Långa Bryggan, then head up to the station when the gates open — the garden is at its best before it fills up. If you want a proper dinner, book a table in the restaurant together with your ticket; otherwise the food trucks are part of the fun.
Bjärred has no railway station. If you are not staying within walking or cycling distance, check the late buses towards Lund and Malmö in Skånetrafiken's journey planner before the evening, or arrange a lift. Bring a layer: even in July, evenings by Öresund can turn cool once the sun has gone down.

Next summer
In July 2026 Sydsvenskan reported that founder Stellan Colt is selling Bjerreds Station to focus on Malmö, and that 2026 would be his last summer there. Whether, and in what form, the concerts continue is up to the new owners; we will add dates to our events page only once they are announced by the venue.
