From Malmö by train
Lomma has a station on the Lommabanan line, which reopened to passenger trains in December 2020. According to Lomma municipality, the journey to central Malmö takes around nine minutes. Bjärred has no railway station — continue by bus.
From Lund and to Bjärred by bus
Regional buses connect Lund with Bjärred and Lomma, and Lomma with Bjärred along the coast. Lines and departures change, so use Skånetrafiken's journey planner or app for the current route.
From Copenhagen and the airports
Øresundståg trains cross the Öresund Bridge from Copenhagen and Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) to Malmö; change there for Lomma. Carry a passport or ID card — Swedish border checks may apply. Malmö Airport (Sturup) is reached by airport coach to Malmö or Lund.
By bike
The coast is flat and well suited to cycling. Sydkustleden, the signposted coastal cycle route, runs through Lomma and Bjärred on its Malmö–Landskrona stage, and Cykelleden Skåne starts in Lomma heading inland to Lund. Lomma municipality publishes a cycle map.
By car
Both towns are reached from the E6 motorway between Malmö and Lund. Beach car parks fill up on warm summer weekends — consider the train, bus or bike, and check local parking signs and fees.
Tickets
Buy Skånetrafiken tickets in the app, online or with a contactless bank card on board where accepted. Cash is generally not accepted on buses.
Accessibility
Accessibility varies by venue and beach. Ask venues directly, and check Lomma municipality's site for information about accessible bathing places.
Emergencies
Call 112 for emergencies. For non-urgent medical advice in Sweden, call 1177.
